Not the day I had dreamt of. Felt out of the race from the start. The new crop of short course guys have completely changed middle distance racing. Pack dynamics are playing a huge roll. No option but be better in the swim! Proud to have fought to the end despite a challenging situation.
My personal goals now shift to Nice World Champs. First to qualify either in Cairns or Lake Placid and then perhaps one last shot at WC before the curtains come down.

Double thumbs up for fun local sprint triathlons… had a blast at the @walkerbayoutdoor festival this weekend. Back to grass roots racing and why we fell in love with this awesome sport. But don’t be fooled, sprint triathlons hurt ALOT!!! Haven’t gone that deep in some time 😂

It’s been the most challenging race week in recent memory, bad case of food poisoning knocked me out for most of the week. Fighting my way back to health and there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. Finally felt like myself this morning but it was my first ride in PE, guess I am very well rested 🤷🏻‍♂️
Regardless of the challenging week I am optimistic of my chances, feels like the body is bouncing back just in time and I am on the up!!! Say a little prayer for my tummy, 120g/hr is a bold strategy coming off food poisoning 🫣 … strap in this should be entertaining either way!

Very proud to be a local boy battling for the title. I have finished 2nd on two occasions here in Nelson Mandela Bay, let’s take that last step up! 🇿🇦

It’s official … 2 more years on the incredible

It’s official … 2 more years on the incredible @giantbicycles Trinity chasing my dreams! Excited to show what this bike is capable of especially in the mountains of Nice come September 14th.

It has taken a few days to process my experience a

It has taken a few days to process my experience at the @t100triathlon series this season. While the results never really materialized I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of trying to get better over this format of racing. It pushed me far beyond my expectations and at times left me pretty empty physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s no secret that this format does not really suit my strengths as an athlete but I am proud to have been a part of the very first T100 Triathlon Tour. I am incredibly grateful to the entire T100 team for the unprecedented level of support we as athletes received out on tour in 2024. This series has set a new standard for professional triathlon racing and I am excited to watch it grow from strength to strength.
It is now time for a good rest and a much needed break from the intense work of triathlon racing. 2025 is shaping up to be another massive year for the sport and I look forward to being a part of that!
Once again a heart felt thank you to @t100triathlon for all they have done for this great sport.

After watching the woman’s race I am pretty confident this smile is about to be wiped off my face! That looked rather brutal, well done ladies. @t100triathlon Grand Final - Men 1:30pm Sunday.
